A man filmed brandishing a knife in a road-rage row has been warned he could face a prison sentence.
Keith Driver, 50, angrily confronted brothers Chris and Ryan Knox as they sat in their van in Temple Street, Bethnal Green, accusing them of being on drugs and causing trouble, before threatening in a foul-mouthed tirade to hit them.
After being told to “jog on”, Driver pulled out a kitchen knife and jabbed it at the driver’s window before the pair hastily drove away.
Video of the confrontation on Friday, filmed by one of the Knox brothers, went viral after being posted online and Driver was arrested and charged.
At Thames magistrates court yesterday, he admitted possession of the black handled kitchen knife and a public order offence causing the Knox brothers to “fear unlawful violence”.
Driver, who lives in council-provided sheltered housing in Bow, had been held in custody since his arrest but was freed on bail by the court.
District Judge Jane McIvor imposed a 10pm to 6am curfew and warned Driver a prison term was possible when sentencing takes place at Snaresbrook crown court on January 4.
